Focus...
« on: May 01, 2007, 08:57:31 AM »
...I was thinking about this early this morning and decided to share it with my brothers and sisters.  When King Saul disobeyed the orders that God had given him, God was discontent with him and decided to find a replacement for him and lift up a new King. (1 Samuel 15)  So the Lord sent Samuel to Jesse's house.  Little did Samuel know that the one who was going to be the next King, was tending sheep and working out on his Harp in the woodshed, Praising and delivering his Worship to the Most High. lol

1 Samuel 16.8 "Then Jesse called Abinadab and had him pass in front of Samuel. But Samuel said, "The LORD has not chosen this one either." 9 Jesse then had Shammah pass by, but Samuel said, "Nor has the LORD chosen this one." 10 Jesse had seven of his sons pass before Samuel, but Samuel said to him, "The LORD has not chosen these." 11 So he asked Jesse, "Are these all the sons you have?"
"There is still the youngest," Jesse answered, "but he is tending the sheep."
Samuel said, "Send for him; we will not sit down until he arrives." 12 So he sent and had him brought in. He was ruddy, with a fine appearance and handsome features.
Then the LORD said, "Rise and anoint him; he is the one."

13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the LORD came upon David in power.

King James Version
1 Corinthians 10:12 "Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."

1 Peter 5.6 "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:"

N.I.V.

1 Corinthians 10.12 "So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!

1 Peter 5.6 "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time."

...keep tending the "sheep" my brothers and sisters.  Don't stop praying, praisin' and don't stop working it out in the woodshed for the Lord.  He's watching and he knows.  When it's time..... in due time....in God's perfect time.....you will be the one if what you're doing is the Will of God.

                            - Be Blessed this day.
