I can probably find some '4 on the floor' type disco grooves.

I had another 'gruv' I was working on but I just could not get it to loop right, no matter what I tried. Totally frustrated me so I just ended up finishing these last 2!

Ok man keep up th egood work.I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Here's a clip I did on the same tune you done.

Ok here's a rough recording of 7am_gruv .. I just recorded this before heading out to work.... expect some oops  :D  ... i'm far from being a slap queen (I don't do it often), but I did learn something .. I realize that I kinda tense up with my slappin' hand ... when I relaxed it, slappin, especially doubles, became easier

http://www.esnips.com/doc/13fdb3c2-03f3-403f-a928-56c5e208e277/7am_gruv-with-bass

I'll re-record this to clean it up a bit if I have time this afternoon.

You underestimate your skills! That was excellent! You guys are doing a great job! I love hearing everyone's interpretations of the same gruvs! I wish we could get more of our fine LGM bassists (guitarists & keyboardists too) involved. I understand if many of you are shy about using the gruvs I've provided as they are not from gospel tunes. If anyone knows of any 'true' gospel tunes that have 'bass-less' sections, please point me to them (or provide it for me) and I will create a loop for you!

Be blessed!

Thanks DW!!

about making gospel bass-less loops... that's an excellent idea and what I prefer.   I treat these gruv as a tool to exercise my bass muscles.  I'll check my library over the weekend.

thanks for the exercise dwbass. this really helps me explore.
i had ideas for a couple of the tracks, but im having trouble recording.

are you coming into the "mic" input of your soundcard from the "line out" of your amp?
i'll try to play around with my setup and get something recorded

I'm using a Zoom 506II as a bridge. My bass goes into the Zoom and from the 1/4" stereo output I have to use cable with a 1/4" to 1/8" stereo adapter so I can plug it into my laptop soundcard mic/line input. I can utilize the effects from the pedal but mostly I use a dry signal and solo my bridge p/u for solo's or lead lines. You can use the line out from your amp but you'll need an 1/4 to 1/8 adapter (mono to stereo) as your soundcard input is stereo.

I dig both! Great job! I can't wait to hear the entire song. I have some ideas for all of them but won't be able to do anything until tomorrow! My cousin was blessed with passing the VA bar exam and is having a celebration today for which I must attend! :)

Really nice! I may do mine over as I was not particularly inspired when I did my current version! I love your creativity! Do you have multi-track recording capability? I'd love to hear you do some lead lines!

This whole recording thing has lead me to another idea..............................

A LGM cyber band/bands! Develop a pool of musicians who can record quality tracks, create several bands out of the pool, send tracks back and forth until a complete recording has been accomplished! This includes vocals as well! Start with drum and percussion tracks, then keyboards, bass & guitar and finally vocals!

Just a thought!
