Holy One - Tremaine Hawkins
Key of GbMaj

I'll try to keep it basic, without losing the feel of the song...and I'll also try to post a midi later with basic feel so the chords can be followed.

Intro

/Gb, /Ab, /Bb, /B,
(2.) F-B-Eb/Ab-Eb-Gb-Bb
/Bb,
Bb-F-Ab/D-Gb-Bb
/Ab,
Eb-Bb-Eb/Gb-Bb-Db-Gb

Ab-Eb/Ab-Bb-C-Eb
C-E/Bb-Eb-Ab or (Db-Ab/C-D-E-Ab an alternate going to Db)
/Gb,
Db-Ab/C-Eb-F
*You can do use chromatic run in left or go to the next chord (C/, B/, Bb/, A/, Ab/, G/A-Db-EbF)
G-Db-F/A-Db-Eb-F
/Ab,
Gb-Db-F/Ab-Bb-Db
*Chromatic run in left again or next chord (F/, E/, Eb/, D/, Db/, C/Bb-D-Gb)
C/Bb-D-Gb

(1.) *Verse starts after this chord...the basic chords are the same for the next 3 or more verses, just different fills added, so I'll go through the basics once and take it to the chorus chords...
B-B/Gb-Bb-Db-Eb (4) - ...

B-Gb/Bb-Eb-Gb (Your back on (4), hit following chord for verse again)
again and again...verse chords, just different fills/voicings...

(3.) The vamp is about the same as the rest of the song as far as the basic chords used...and you can expand if you need...

If you listen to the melody and bass...
Eb/Gb-Bb-Eb - No
Gb/Bb-Db-Gb - I'll
Ab/Eb-Ab-B - Nev-

Bb/Db-Gb-Bb - let

Hope this helps...

God Bless!

Here is a basic midi of the song...it's a little rough especially at the end, haven't played this in a while, but you should be able to pick up a couple of passing chords on the vamp...

Holy One - Tremaine Hawkins
Key of GbMaj

cas10a
I'll try to keep it basic, without losing the feel of the song...and I'll also try to post a midi later with basic feel so the chords can be followed.

Intro

/Gb, /Ab, /Bb, /B,
(2.) F-B-Eb/Ab-Eb-Gb-Bb
/Bb,
Bb-F-Ab/D-Gb-Bb
/Ab,
Eb-Bb-Eb/Gb-Bb-Db-Gb
/Ab,
Ab-Eb/Ab-Bb-C-Eb

B-B/Gb-Bb-Db-Eb (4) - ...
... - Day is almost night
Bb-Ab/Bb-Db-Gb - ...
... - I don't want to lose this fight
Eb/Bb-Db-Gb
F/Ab-Db-F
Gb/Bb-Db-Gb
Ab-Eb/Gb-B-Eb - ...
Db-Ab/Gb-B-Eb-Gb - ...I fooled around
Gb/Db-F-Bb...much to long

**********
(2.)...(- To go to where Chorus starts {Holy-One, I'll...}, go to (2.) in intro from here...and the rest of that is the basic chorus chords)
**********

basic filler while holding Gb in Bass...Inversions
/F-Bb-Db>>>/Db-F-Bb>>>Ab-Db-F
Gb-Db-E/B-E-Ab
Db-Ab/B-Db-E-Ab
C-Gb/Bb-D-Gb
B-Gb/Bb-Eb-Gb (Your back on (4), hit following chord for verse again)
again and again...verse chords, just different fills/voicings...

(3.) The vamp is about the same as the rest of the song as far as the basic chords used...and you can expand if you need...

If you listen to the melody and bass...
Eb/Gb-Bb-Eb - No
Gb/Bb-Db-Gb - I'll
Ab/Eb-Ab-B - Nev-
Ab/Eb-Ab-B - er
Bb/Db-Gb-Bb - let
B/B-Eb-Ab - you
Db/B-Eb-Gb - down
Db/B-Eb-Gb-Bb - Oh
Db/B-Eb-F-Ab - No

Here is very basics on vamp
B - Db-Gb-Bb - Ne...
Gb - GbM ...ver
B - GbM
Gb - GbM

Bb - D-Gb-Bb
F - Bbaug
Bb - Bbaug
F - Bbaug

Eb - Ebm9
Bb - Ebm9
Eb - Ebm9
Bb - Ebm9

Ab - Gb-Bb-C-F
Eb - same chord
Ab - same
Eb - same
Again from (No I'll Never let you down...)

I guess you can tell I got kind of tired towards the end, I'll try to correct any mistakes and give more chords later or in the midi...
Hope this helps...

God Bless!

Nice!

I need some help. I know some of the keys to the songs I'm about to list, I just can't put the chords in there correctly at the moment that they need to be played or I transpose. (I'm honest about it, I ain't gon' lie!) Here's my list (it's pretty long!):

Uncloudy Day--Myrna Summers and the Refreshing Springs C.O.G.I.C Choir

Blessed Assurance--Dallas/Fort Worth Mass Choir

I'll Fly Away--traditional

Pass Me Not--traditional

Jesus is the Best Thing--Rev. James Cleveland

Mary, Don't You Weep--traditional or the Caravans version

What a Friend We Have In Jesus--Aretha Franklin

Precious Memories--Rev. James Cleveland & Aretha Franklin

He Keeps Doing Great Things For Me--LaShun Pace-Rhodes

God Has Smiled on Me--no idea

I Didn't Think It Could Be--Andraé Crouch & the Disciples

Post the Chords that you already have and we may be able to help finish the song. Also, we may be able to help you chord the song out in the key you need.
