Alright, now this is my first attempt at any kind of tablature so work with me.  Luckily I used to play this song ALOT at my last church.  This goes chord by chord, and you can kinda work out the rhythms.  The first note of the chords are on the E string and the second are on the G string (so the first chord shown is D-10th fret E string/F#-11th fret G string).  I play it with index on E, third finger on G.  Hope this helps.

D/F#-E/G-F#/A-E/G-D/F#

C#/E-B/D-C#/E-D/F#-C#/E-D/F#

G/B-F#/A-E/G(open)

E/G-F#/A#-G/B-A/D-A/C#

Is that what they call "Tri-tone"?

For floaded27:  The song is called Ancient of Days.  I dont know who does it, but its a long choir song with a bass break in it.

hey I found that bass part of that song. (hey watch the bass player come out from no where)
if you want to just see the bass part skip the video to about 4:15 and the bass part start but right
before that it is a nice solo by the flute and drum player also.

He does it by being abraham laboriel...lol.  No joke man, that guy is a genius/master.

He doesn't slap the conventional way.  He kind of pulls the string with his thumb.

Plus he is about 50lbs heavier....one of my first bass video tapes is of Abe. he is playing a 4 string bass and it is all funk. I saw him and Nathan East and was hooked...He was much younger then or was dying his hair because he looks like he has a head full of snow now, but he is still the man. You talk about doing some crazy chords?!!

i had this song from a while back. i forgot all about it. i had always thought that the first part of that was a guitar because of the chords, but mind u that was way back when i first picked up a bass and really got into listening to songs for the bass. everybody can stop laughing now.

Ron Kenoly!  I figured it was someone like that.  It has too much of a "Diversity" sound to the singing lol.  Yeah I had to learn that solo in like 2-3 days (not that I got it right that soon  :D ).  I had only played for the church like 2 weeks lol.  And it was one of those 500 member rainbow diverse churches, and they LOVED this song.  I was SHOOK at first lol.

it does have that diversity sound. when i first heard it i didnt care for it too much until i heard the instrument solos, then i took a liking to it. still has that different sound, which makes it hard for me to take stuff and incorporated it into playing other stuff.
