Hey Mr. DJ
« on: September 06, 2007, 02:28:30 PM »
"Man that DJ made my day"

The above is a praphrase of a popular Run-DMC song from way back in the day.  But what do think of having DJ lead services or perhpas incorporating a DJ along with the choir/praise team?  The concept is certainly "differnet" to me, but that's not to say that a DJ is somehow not suitable to lead or participate in the worship experience.  The upcoming issue of Worship Leader has a story on this and the following aritlce is linked from X-Tream worship.  In my mind, things like DJ's, hip-hop, or even metal (if anyone here is so inclined) fit into my "praise" catagory.  I guess we all have our own prejudices as to what constitutes "praise" and "worship".  Of course, God is too big to fit into our catagories.
