LGM Jam #3
« on: October 02, 2007, 12:03:41 PM »
Ok guys, may as well get started on the next one. I added a few backting tracks to the soundclick page, or I'll throw this out for your consideration.....I'll make a basic track to a song if there is a specific song someone wants us to tackle, or even if it's a style, i can attempt to make a track that will suffice. That will obviously take a little more time, but if it helps get more people involved, let me know. Here's the Soundclick link:

Sorry, I've been busy lately (well, as busy as a man without a job can be lol).

I actually did get some closings thrown my way at the end of last week, though. I'll try to check these out today.

OK, I hate to say it, but I'm voting for the 80's ballad. It's different, and gets us out of that blues thing...

Not that I mind the blues thing, but the ballad will be a good way for me to stretch melodically, and use my echo pedal lol.

Or, if someone has a specific song, I'm all for that, too.

I'm in whatever it is.

I've done the '80s ballad already about a year or 2 ago.
I don't have it online right now but I can post it later.

I sort of liked the Mike Stern backing, personally. Or the SRV one.  :)

I'll roll with whatever. If Dave's already done the 80's one, then I don't feel like making him do it again (or letting him cheat by re-using an old one lol  :P ).

yeah i know, right.....Dave has done every track, he just pulls one out from '97, uploads and he's done.  ;D

it's tough to find a diverse selection of backing tracks....they are almost EXCLUSIVELY rock/blues oriented. I can make tracks, I just need ideas on wat style/specific songs people would like to do.

I'm about to have my personal web space up'd from 25M to 1Gb (thank you, Comcrap) and with the extra room I can upload a few of the old Guitarmageddon backings from years past.
There's a fairly diverse selection from them, from rock to blues to shuffles to country, etc...

Here's that '80s track that I did a while back:

my '80s jam

Some people call this the Blue Murder jam since it sounds somewhat like a song that the rock band Blue Murder would have done and, while it does sound like an out-take from their first album, they apparently had nothing to do with this backing.

And here are a couple blues-based backings that maybe we can use in the future...some of them are Gospel-esque, I think.

12/8 Blues Jam

Cajun Blues Jam

Even 8th's Blues Jam

Slow Blues Jam

Up-tempo Blues Shuffle Jam

Since I can edit my posts I'll have to amend the previous post here and say that apparently my cheap web provider has not yet upped our allocated space from the measly 25 megabites to the soon-promised 1Gb so these links are all dead until they follow through.

My apologies and we'll give this a shot again in a few days.

Alright you blues and shuffle lovers, it looks like my webspace was increased so check out the links in the previous post and see if there's a tune there that you'd like to use for an LGM jam.
