How good are the FS series?

The FS Series is good.  They're an all birch shell kit.  You can also check out the Mapex M Birch kit.  They give you a free 8" tom or something like that.  So to sum it up....The PDP CX, PDP FS, Pearl Vision or Mapex M Birch kits are your next step.  Those kits are 1, 000 times better than what you're playing on right now doc'.  ;) ;D ;D ;D

CX Homie! If you are going for a brand new kit I would suggest the FS! They run about $850 for a 5-Piece kit! The 6 piece is around 950. But you could check the used section of GuitarCenter.com and they may have something in a better price range, and not beat up!..

I saw a used CX for $500 on GC. Then I went to Samash and saw the FS for $600.00. The $100 difference doesn't mean much to me I just want to see which was the best between the two...

I would say that they Maple is better between the Two only bacause I IMO it has a wider tuning range and it is a little more Versitile. The FS would be nice for the Studio but I still thing the CX is the better choice!

...that's expensive doc'.  I've seen brand new PDP CX shell packs for $400.  That means that with hardware, you can pick one up for about $700 or less.  I've seen a 5 piece LX for about $850.

...where are you doing your shopping??  Someone better call the Police cause they're straight robbin' folk out by your way. :-\

Yeah I'm getting rid of my ddrum too.

400$  Ddrum Diablo

10" tom
12" tom
14" fltom
16" fltom
22" kick
7/14" snare

white/white

the set is like 6 months old.  Also included is a 6/13" Tama Metal Works snare with case.  I have had this snare for about 6 months as well.  I'll also throw in a DW 7000 pedal which I have had for six months and I will pay for all shipping costs.  And no, you dont get any hardware.  Just the tom arms.
