Dag..... I feel like I'm the only one still messin wit' Zildjian now  :(

Can somebody admit that the hybrid series is hot???

And it also seems like people are afraid to mix cymbal brands. Either that or everyone up here is endorsed.
There's nothing wrong with having Zildjian and Sabian cymbals, I mean THEY ARE BROTHERS!  ;D

You haven't been around here long enough, huh?

I guess that I'll have the dissenting opinion:  I wasn't feeling them at all.  I like the K Custom Hybrids better.   ;D

Agreed, but it all comes down to the sound for me.  I'm not afraid to create an amalgam of brands for my collection.  I can't speak for anyone else (on the forum), but if I find a cymbal that sounds good, I'll buy it, regardless of the brand.  Heck, I'll even take the logos off of them.  It doesn't really matter to me what's on the cymbals.  What matters to me is the sound that each cymbal produces.  It just happens to be that 99% of my palette is Sabian.  1% belongs to Meinl.

Sidenote: I did, however, have two Zildjians in the mix - an 18" A Custom China and a 12" set of A Custom Mastersound Hi-Hats.

And this whole "they are brothers" thing - it's really old.  Zildjian and Sabian has much to do with each other these days as Ford is to Chevrolet.

Guess not. Ok let me get something straight. I can't post anything that has already been posted and I can't ask anything that has already been asked? Am I right?  ?/?

The link you sent me was well over a year ago, is it impossible for your gear or opinion to have changed since then?

Nah, you got it crooked, homes.  I was only responding to your keyword, which was 'somebody' (point of reference: "Can somebody admit that the hybrid series is hot???"

Somebody could be one person, and I was just saying that I gave it props when the K Custom Hybrid was released.  There are a plethora of posts within the drum forum that gives the K Custom Hybrid series props.

To address your question of  "I can't post anything that has already been posted and I can't ask anything that has already been asked?" - you most certainly can, however, there is a search tool that will probably yield the results that you are looking for.  That's what it is there for.  There are so many 'ad nauseum' type of threads.  This could be reduced, or even eliminated if a proper search is executed.

As for your last question, " is it impossible for your gear or opinion to have changed since then?", it is not impossible for my gear or opinion to change - I specifically stated "I can't speak for anyone else (on the forum)", so if I reference something that I said (even if it is a year ago), I firmly stand behind what I say (even if it is a year ago).
