What would you do?
« on: December 15, 2007, 05:08:06 PM »
I'm currently a drummer at my church and last year we got a new MOM when she first came she gave a good impression, now shes lazy, plays the same songs over and over again, sings old material, she directs horribily, and doesn't play the songs like the cd. Everytime I get on the set I get upset and don't feel like playing, it's a year already people don't feel the music. What would you do?

I would just approach her in a real chill, polite manner and just tell her the truth. The truth will either set someone free, or make them mad. Also, don't just criticize. If she does something you like compliment her on it, but at the same time get your point across and offer her some tips for improvement. But the key is not to come off like you know more than she does(even if you do), because then she will turn off her ears to anything else you have to say. God bless and good luck ;)
Just play music...
