When your keyboardist transposes but forgets to transpose back, and you are trying to figure out what is going on. EVeryone is looking at you as if it is your problem!   ?/?

OR if the guitar and bass player forget to remove the Capo!!!!!!

I Only had to play it for one sunday.

The Organ is fixed. The guy also fixed the pedals so now I can learn to play them. The leslie also changes faster than b4.

It was pretty bad playing the Juno, I was 5 feet away from the monitor so I could barely hear myself, There were no good organ sounds , so I just played strings, Then After the sermon I just played the XP-80

I assume the Leslie was oiled as well.  It's amazing what happens when the motors don't have to fight the friction from dry bearings.  The Leslie at my church used to change speeds slowly and it was due to a seized tension idler bearing.

I always thought it was a 122 because it took longer to change speeds, now I'm sure its a 147rv

I dont know. The guy changed the switch and it still didnt work, so he came back and did something else. I didnt even ask them, but they said that he only charged them $140 which is very reasonable.

But now we have a funny shaped start switch, I wish he woulda kept the old one on it. And I wish I was there so I could have convinced him to put a reverb unit on it :D

could have been a bad switch or faulty relay in the Leslie.  Those Leslie reverbs are so problamatic.  We have a 122RV and of course, the reverb doesn't work.  I've got reverb on my A-100 and it sounded cheesy to me so I turned it off.  Those half moon switches cost about $75 by the way.

I like using the reverb sometimes. I think it sounds cool when you play "Brooklyn Style" or Classical style hymns

Ummmm no and no.   My church has 40 foot high celings so there's about a 2.5 second decay time anyway so who needs spring reverb?    ;D

I don't think I need the reverb either.  This is where I play.

hey fmason-that looks like our sanctuary!! seats about 300,and it's ALL brick!!! about 100'x60'x30' with an arched ceiling -don't know what it's made of.i on't even have a B(yet)  running my VOCE module thru a roland keyboard amp.If the sound man gets crazy with the house volume, sometimes we play together, sometimes we play with the echo(1-2 secs)    VERYYYYYYY INTERESTING as the guy on laugh-in used to say (one of those 70' shows)

No personal experience with Hammond nightmares, but I have heard the Hammond fire story before. My music director used to play the organ when she was attending another church in this area. She said the organ started smoking during service. They ended up having to take a fire extinguisher to it. I didn't ask what happened to the Hammond. Last time I was at that church, they had a Hammond C2, but I'm not sure if it was the same organ.

The oiling system in the generator is very interesting. It does take a while to get through the entire generator though so don't expect immediate results. It will progressively get better over a couple of weeks time.
