if you tune it up, (4 steps), it will put a lot of pressure on the strings and the neck, the results could be a popped string,which can be painful, or truss damage, it would be easier to buy a "C" string and restring the ax, because you may find out, as stated before on this forum, "what works for your favorite bass player, may not work for you"
