Song- The Question Is
« on: October 20, 2004, 01:12:37 AM »
This was chorded by T-block and I want to pass it down to anyone else who might be interested in learning it....

Here is “The Question Is” by the Winans. I am going to type out the chord notes I use and the chord names so that you can find which inversion of each type of chord sounds better to you.

“The Question Is” by the Winans
Key of A LH/RH

Symbols:

E / A-D-F# (D major)
A / E-A-B-C# (A major add 9) The quesiton is
A / D-G-B (G major) will I ever
A / C#-E-A (A major) leave you
Eb / A-C#-F-A (A aug.) and the answer is
D / C#-E-A (A major) no, no, no, no, no, no
C# / C#-E-A (A major) no, no, no, no, no, no
C / C-E-A (A minor) noooo
B / B-D-G (G major) noooo
E / A-D-F# (D major) noooo
A / A-C#-E (A major) noooo
(repeat)

The next part has too many words, so it's just the chords:

Bb / D-F-A (D minor)
A / C-E-G (C major)
G / Bb-D-F (Bb major)
C / Bb-D-F (Bb major)
F/ C-F-A (F major)
A / C-E-G (C major)
D / A-C-F (F major)
C / Bb-Eb-G (Eb major)
F / A-C-F (F major)
Bb / D-F-A (D minor)
A / C-E-G (C major)
G / B-D-F-A (G7)
A / A-C#-E (A major)
(repeat from beginning

I just use octaves Vinny.....you know...I dont know fancy terms for it...I just stretch from note to note....I.e.  E to E and play the right hand chord

Key of A LH/RH

The key tells you that the stuff on the left side is for the left hand and the stuff on the right side is for the right hand.  It is backward from what the traditional form of writing chords is.
Real musicians play in every key!!!
