To pedal or not to pedal?....
« on: September 04, 2003, 03:06:38 PM »
that is the question.
(Just to refresh everyone's memory) I'm a beginner to the organ and my question is:

Should I practice with the pedal now...or incorporate it in my practices later? (later meaning: after I build a stronger knowledge of the keyboard, finger positions, scales...etc)

it depends.....i would say to do all of it!....but just a little at a time...i dont agree with isolation........because it will cause you to be onedimintional. so i would pick somthing different every day.........it really doesnt take more than a day on somthings.......like scales.......you might not learn all in a day, but you can definitly learn one a day......along with the nbrs..if ya do that..... so you should use your time wisely, and you will achieve a lot more over all.....and continue to be a sponge......soak up as much knowledge as you can...don't come on here looking for phat stuff,,,,,,,you'll just be killin yourself......gieres
gieres.....

god is greatly to be praised!!!!!!!!!
