Floaded, ain't you from the City...man up dude. you actin' like you from the Midwest or California. If it ain't ROUGH, it ain't RIGHT!!!!! Carry that 4X10 on your back if you have to.
Bullitt change your name to "bb pellett" You hold the bottom, you acting like a keyboardist who plays the pretty chords and needs everything to be just right like Goldilocks or they'll have a nervous breakdown
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
Lemme guess, "I can do all things through Christ who STRENGTHENS me" was talking about the bass players who lug their 4x10 and 8x10 cabs everywhere, right?
lol, I get what you're saying but I'm a firm believer in working smarter, not harder (when possible). I drive a mustang and it's only by the grace of God that I'm able to fit that monster 4x10 cab into the car. I didn't think it would be such an issue when I first bought it but boy was I wrong LOL!!! And you can forget about having anyone ride with me unless they're going to hang on to the roof....
oh tell me about it. there's always space available for everyone else, except the bass player. unless the church already has a bass player and provisions for him have already been made. if its not finding a space for my stuff its finding a space for my stuff near an outlet so i can plug up. The best head and cab config in the world is USELESS without an outlet for power. so either i gotta sit across the room like i just got into a fight with the rest of the musicians or im practically sittin in the audience while my equipment sits with the rest of the band. Thank God for the 25 foot monster cable....i guess. And haulin my 4x10 isnt an option. churches i play at dont have the space, and its bad enough with my 2x8 i still gotta walk up the middle aisle like im all important cause even that wont fit up the side aisle. im also considering other cab options, the problem is i cant afford to dish out more money for a secondary head as well.
haha, sounds like you've experience ALOT of the same troubles I have. FWIW, my Aguilar GS112 came in yesterday and I played through it for a little while. This little cab sounds GREAT! Can it handle holding down the low end by itself? No....at least not in my opinion. A second cab would definitely be needed for anything other than a small acoutic gig or practice...I know you said money is tight but with 2 of these cabs all your problems would be solved.
I also tried hooking up the 112 and my 210.....Oh dear sweet Jesus I've seen the light!!!! IMO this combination sounded absolutely AMAZING. My 4x10 cab is definitely going on the auction block now lol. In a nutshell:
112 + 210:+Better tonal clarity
+more power/volume (due to coming two 8 ohm cabs)
+uses less space than 4x10
+still less weight than larger cab
+easier for me to transport
-Neither cab could be effectively used as a stand alone in louder situations IMO
4x10:+convient if you have a dedicated space for it
+has more "potential" (hooking up one/both of the other cabs with this one would make a MONSTER RIG)
-HEAVY
-size makes it difficult to transport
