Hi, I been playing bass for about 5 years. It sounds like you want to know how to keep a bassline going throughout the whole song. I used to have that problem too. Well, I will give you some stuff in Eb:
Shouting music - Eb, G, Ab, A, Bb, C, Db, D (repeat)
Eb, F, Gb, G, Ab, C, Db, D (repeat)
Eb, C, Bb, A, Ab, C, Db, D (repeat)
Eb, G, Bb, B, Ab, C, Db, D (repeat)
Eb, F, Gb, Bb, Ab, C, Db, D (repeat)
*Eb, Db, C, B, Bb, C, Db, D (repeat) *play each note 2x
You can use any combo of them for shouting music depending on what the keyboard/piano/organ is playing.
Songs like Jesus on the Mainline:
Eb, G, Ab, A, Bb, C, Db, D Jesus is on the mainline
Eb (2x), Db (2x), C (2x), Bb, A Tell Him what you want
Ab, C, Eb, Bb, Eb, Ab, G, Gb Jesus is on the mainline
F, Ab, Bb (2x), Eb Tell Him what you want
F, G, Bb, C, Bb
Eb, F, Bb, C, Eb (2x), F, Eb Jesus is on the mainline
D (2x), G (2x), C, G, Ab, A Tell Him what you want
Bb, B, C, Gb Call Him up and
F (2x), Bb(2x), Eb Tell Him what you want
G, Ab, A, Bb
(repeat from beginning)
That's just one way you can play it. There are lots of other stuff you can do, just listen to other more experienced players and pick up some of their style.
