Hi Brad,

Hear & Play material is top class- I have some of their dvds & the content is always of exceptional value.

To make a more informed decision, also have a look at this "booklet" they are offering for free which introduces you to their next material launch:

http://www.hearandplay.com/mtreport.pdf

I look at it this way- it will be a quick ref quide whenever I'm stuck or if it won't help me, it will help someone I know (since I enjoy teaching- if I don't have time, the book does the teaching for me & then I just explain where necessary).

Honestly, I feel like somewhere in between a moderate beginner and intermediate. My style of playing is very reflective of the last musician we had at our church like 6 years ago. Very based on traditional chords. I really want to become one of those type of piano players with a little more versatility. I feel like I can play ok on piano (even though I'm more of an organ dude) but I feel kind of limited.

A DVD might be better for you. Maybe one of Jamal's or wheatworks'.
