Question
« on: October 02, 2008, 09:32:12 AM »
Hey LGM!

I have a question regarding a drummer doing his own sound mix or drum mix.
In our gospel band we dont have a sound engineer so when we travel we take our own PA with
I always see drummers using their own rack up and they have like a sub and speaker combination next to them.

my question is what goes in a rack like that: mic inputs in desk to compressors etc....any help regarding this would be appreciated.

Also the speaker subwoofer combination what is that used for.

Thanks

EarlK

Now you have to make sure that they are doing their own sound... Most cases its a monitor mix that they are controlling and in other cases (like Dave Weckl) they are controlling their own mix and sending a left/right feed back to the house mix.
Mapex Drums, Grant Custom Basses, Carparelli Basses, Istanbul Cymbals,!
