I'm about to start checking for the Vic's real heavy though. I need to step it up a little.(i guess)  No nylon tips though, brand name or no name. Straight wood.  I can't do the nylon thing.  They tend to pop off.

I don't know how ya'll be playin with toothpicks, aka 7A's, playin set is mo, but a lot of my practice time is spent on the rudimantal snare drum, now i can't do anything without some beefyness na mean, vater fusions are perfect for me, more beef than a 5A, but not as beefy as a 5B.

Gerald Heyward sig. model from Vic. Firth. I love them man, they are a little longer than average sized sticks and there thickness is between an 5A stick and a 7A stick. I personally think i'll stay with these fro a while.

man, earlier in the boards i put that i used only pro-mark. well, i found the perfect stick for me and it is a vic firth. the peter erskine original signature model. it is smaller than a 7a and has a small beaded tip. i don't have to play very hard and i stll get a loud sound with them...
