Which Gospel cd's contain great bass playing.

God Bless!!

I know that this is going to be a HUGE list but, I'm trying to build my Gospel cd library and I'd like it to contain great bass playing!!

Ricky Dillard & New G - 7th Episode:Live in Toronto (Derrick Hearne), Tye Tribbett (Thaddeus Tribbett) & GA,Israel & New Breed (Terrrance Palmer/ Justin Raines)... to name a few. Thaddeus is a monster!

Fred Hammond & Radical For Christ
* Pages of Life vol I & II (Fred Hammond & Terrance Palmer)
* Purpose By Design (either Terrance Palmer or Maurice Fitzgerald)

Israel & The New Breed
* New Season (Terrance Palmer)

Tye Tribbett & GA
* Victory Live (Thad Tribbett)

I'm sure there are others, but these stay in rotation on my iPod.

Almost everyone has some great bass playing on their albums. It all depends on what defines "great bass playing" for you and see what you like.

All I got to say is I was riding with a brother to a service Sunday, and he put in Isaiah Thomas' CD.  MANNNNN, I was just shaking my head.  Whoever is crushing it on there is the man.  I mean just the first 2-3 songs the bass player is everywhere but its tasty.  You can really hear the bass out front to.  I DEF recommend this CD to everyone.

Off the top of my head i would have to say L.A. MASS CHIOR "GIVE HIM THE GLORY" and JAMES MOORE LIVE AT JACKSON STATE both with Andrew Gouche on bass. These two CDs made me want to be a gospel bass player 8)

Definitely L.A. Mass Choir "Give Him The Glory" and James Moore Live At Jackson State. DFW Mass Choir "I'd Rather Have Jesus, Joel Smith on bass. Kim Burrell "Everlasting Life", Joel Smith, and Chuck Smith on bass. Td Jakes "A Wing and A Prayer" Darrell Freeman on bass. Still one of my absolute favorites, Fred Hammond "Pages of Life" Terrance Palmer on bass..

I heard that the bass player for Clint Brown has some great bass playing. 8)

Martha Munizzi - Your best is yet to come
TD Jakes - Live from the Potter's house

I could go on and on but the sweetness of some of these CDs is tied to some names: Andrew Gouche, Terrance palmer, Mo' Fitz,Darrel Freeman,Thadeus Tribbett etc.

 8)  Thanks to everybody for their recommendations.  I'm familiar with most of the bass players mentioned and I agree that they are phenominal players!!  I look forward to hearing these cd's.

I can leave Kim Burrell's Live in concert cd in my car's player all week long.  That dude is a straight master!!!!  Don't sleep on the Mississippi Mass choir either....
