Travel with your set
« on: March 22, 2009, 09:55:52 PM »
I'm looking a possible permanent move to Germany for family and i'm not looking fwd to sell or get rid of my set. I just bought it. So i wanted to find out how to take my set with me. Also i know a couple of cats play out there, so i wanted to find out any places to hang out at. I will be moving to the mainz area. Thanks.

Dude.  I just traveled with my pedal and cymbals on domestic flights and wanted to cry from paying for extra bags.  Know that if you try to take a whole kit onto a commercial flight they will be shipped as air cargo and those prices might want to make you slit your wrist.  You should probably look into sending them via UPS or FedEx.  I would avoid taking them through a commercial flight at all costs.  Its hard enough maneuvering through an airport with regular luggage.... Let alone a drum kit.
