This room is gettin' outta hand. That was just silly! My practice time just doubled.
I don't play bass, my bass plays me.

Excellent finger speed.  Thought I was listening to Marcus for a minute.

By the way all D.C./BMore Metro area residents, Marcus Miller will be playing at the Rams Head in BMore (9/25) and at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. (9/27) incase ya didn't know.

I will definately be there.

this is not to be an example of time nor clarity as i didnt warm up (bad idea).. but i just had to play something other than an open note to see if i could transfer the sound here..

mikegee, you got it.. thats all i did went to radio shack bought an adapter for like $3 and plugged my bass in directly into my computer and used my standard sound card to record.(you wont need your amp)

Does the bass have to have an active Eq?

Plugging an active straight in won't hurt the computer. The signal is still low. You just have to tune your volume down more than on a passive. I like using the active one into my computer more, because it gives me more volume. I don't have a bass speaker on my computer, so it lacks a little punch with passive.
