I was more so asking of M.O.M./Musicians who have had an appreciation what were the experiences like and if they had any suggestions. Again I dont want a reward from man, but I want to be recognized and not overlooked for the contributions I make. Have you ever heard the saying give honor where honor is due? It's been talked about for years but just finally coming into form.
We can go back and forth about this all day but being a skilled dedicated musician we think that way. We play for every service and every program...every auxillary's appreciation, and most of those they can come and go, but as a musician/mom we have expectaions, requirements, and regulations. if YOU dont think you deserve it then fine, but I know of a lot of musicians who do including myself; for the substansial contributions we have mad to our ministries.
I'm not talking about churches who are renting facilites, storefronts, YMCA's but churches who are more than able. Are we not due that much? come on..... dont downgrade all that we as musicians and moms do. My reward will be in heaven, but give me my flowers while I can smell them
