Dunno. Looks like another young up and coming cat! Is it me or is the drummer way over the top with his playing? Bring it down a thousand! What ever happened to the 'less is more' approach? LOL! I guess my age is showing!

Yes, less is often times more. The drummer was WAY over the top! JMI, but that shows that his playing is for his gain and not the real purpose, but again; that is JMI.

But the bass player, was cool and laid back. Could have pushed the decibels up justa lil, but he was nice & solid.

Yes, the drummer killed it for me. It was like he learned the rata tat tat drum roll and kept throughing it in every 4 measures especially at the vamp. I love that song and usually at that point everything comes down and the drummer plays the rim and bass drum.....my my my....I agree that the bassman could have used some more volume. Seems like he had some nice tasteful licks and runs that were overshadowed.
May God's Grace & Mercy smile upon you!

To me, the drummer is very busy but a-ok.  The reason we can’t seem to get past him is due to the location of this videoclip - from over the drummer’s shoulder.

So, all we hear is drums and cymbals.  And from that spot, that’s NORMALLY how things sound.  Also, the drummer is behind the glass.  That makes that particular spot even louder.

And the camera was right there behind the glass - with him.  Bad location.  Just my opinion.

Thats kinda Eddie Heywards style. he's THE drummer comin outta Brooklyn and the NYC area. plays with or has played with just about everyone comin outta NY and he has quite a following (he sits down on the set and he has a crowd). seen him play on several occasions and the dude is sick. a few times put down some moves that had me wantin to play drums, and i hate playin drums. lol. has all the fundamentals and tricks and skills to boot. its kinda like a victor wooten thing (if u compare it to bass). he can do basic pocket, but thats not what people come to hear him play. he gives them what they want.
For my God... let "Golden Axe" prevail.

The drummer was no more as busy then the bassist was. I thought both did a very good job. Like fingers said, since the recording was right by the drummer, it kind of exaggerated what the drummer was doing. I thought the bassist could have left out a couple of runs that he did. Sometimes you have to leave someone wanting more, don't throw it all in one song. But I still thought they did an excellent job.

That's Eddie for sure!!!!  That's why he's nicknamed "Animal".  (From the Muppets Show.... Google it)  Looks like an after church jam.  He is a professional session player.  He knows when to tone it down.

Is this Pastor Davenport's church in Queens, NYC??  Kingdom Harvest or something like that??

That's Justin Cunningham. I met him, Eddie, and Melvin at the GMWA convention earlier this year. I didn't interview him then, but I plan to later. I do have some nice videos and pictures, though.
