EZ Drummer?
« on: August 28, 2009, 10:04:01 PM »
Does anyone has any experience with this program? I produce Gospel music(particularly Gospel Rap), and I was looking for something with a bit more of a "live" sound. My studio is nowhere near on par with themidiroom  ;D, and although my brother is a very good drummer, I unfortunately am not set up to record drums. So I was considering this program for incorporating more of a "live" sound.

Anyways, I've heard it was a good program, and was curious if anyone else ever used it, and if so, if you could tell me a little about it.

Check it out here:

I actually do own this VST and must say that I love it. I do alot of drum programming with and also use it for drum replacement along with Drum Tracker (also by Toontrack). The actual drum sounds are unbelieveable. Right out of the box you get a real good sound from the kits. I started out with EZDrummer w/ Claustrophobic & Drum Kit from Hell expansions and recently upgraded to Superior Drummer 2.0 with the NY expansion and was blown away. Check out the Toontrack website and check out the videos and demos they have on the site. You wont be disappointed.

Yeah, I've checked out the demos and they sounded awesome... Does it allow you to program your own beats, or is it just drag and drop?

You're pretty much programming your own drum tracks since the application is primarily high quality drum samples. And then there are the custom MIDI arrangements which you can pretty much use to create a drum track without actual programming.

Just got the program... It's amazing!! The drum samples are very realistic, the programming easy, and the fills are tight!! I will be posting a track on my myspace page real soon.

I really enjoy using EZ Drummer, very convenient if you have a home studio that's not big enough to have your own drum setup. ToonTrack did their thing on this VST... Check out the Twisted Kit. Twisted Kit<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=hubp04ee-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000TM93BG" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> Unfortunately, I only have the Toontrack EZXpansion Nashville<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=hubp04ee-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000UXQG3W" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> , Toontrack Jazz EZX Expansion Pack for EZdrummer Sample Library<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=hubp04ee-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00202HQT4" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> , and the Toontrack Latin Percussion EZX Sample Library<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=hubp04ee-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B000KY0FUQ" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />... I plan to get more though or in fact just get the Toontrack Superior Drummer 2.0<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=hubp04ee-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B001C57Q1I" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> and save some instead. Check him out.. Good Prices..
