In need of a prayer for a friend

I have a friend that has a friend who caught bacterial meningitis on Monday. She was on her way back from Germany. Apparently it was on the plane.
The plane had been cleaned. A few other people on the plane caught it.

I had a best friend to die from it and its a very quick death.

Anyways, they are pulling the plug on her at noon today. Please pray for her and her family.

Thanks you all. She's on the phone with them now...I guess she's waiting...

Was it the way I wrote or was it the story?

It's the story.

It's the reminder that no day in life is promised.

It's the fact that someone, presumably otherwise healthy, could get on a plane on Monday, pick up an infection, and be dead by Thursday (without miraculous intervention).

It's just scary. And shocking. And sad. And sobering.

Soooo true. I am trying to hold back my tears. It's so sad.

My bestie(track runner, basketball player) got sick on a Thursday and died on a Saturday. That quick. I just understand what they're going through.  :-\

Well...she died. She was 18 and her name was Lawson. The 2nd person around here between the ages 18-22 to die from this in 2 weeks.
22 year old Famu student Courtney Simms died last week. Sad.

I wonder why younger folks are so much more susceptible?  Even the commercials that warn (I guess there's a vaccine or something now) are all directed at protecting kids.

I remember in college there were always warnings and PSAs about it.  I think we lost a student while I was there.
