I was in GC looking to purchase a new amp. I got the Ampeg.
I was testing it out and had a few people around listening. A young guy had his 6 string running his riffs and he had a few people checking him out.
But then someone came in and started really playing. I stop playing and walked over soon everyone was checking this man out. He was putting on a clinic. Riffs, tapping, slap, chords. I think everyone in GC was in there listening to him. When he finished and I got a good look at him. It was a friend from my home town of Kinston, NC, Paul Isler. I have not seem this man since 1979.
This guy was and still is the one of the best Bass players around.
I'm trying to convince him to start teaching Bass lessons.
