Ha that is a great vid. It was such a contrast to see a mini kid playing a large guitar. And so well too, props to dah kid!!

But to answer your question, not really. Sometimes people come along that are just plain incredible no matter how well you put it. It would be like comparing yourself to a musical savant. Why is it that a person with a savant mind can do such an amazing feat? Maybe we will never know. I saw a program in which a musical savant that could literally play anything on the piano, in any mood, feel, rhythym, so long as he had HEARD it first.

Now as for a (in what this case looks to be) completely normal child playing so well, it could simply be that prodigies of all sorts are born more often than we would think. Maybe as that kid is playing swing, his neighbor's six-year-old is figuring out the next big think in physics, or math, or alternative energies.

It’s remarkable.  To witness such talent in the making is rewarding in itself for both the parents and the child.  Only good can come from this mastery at such an early age.  However, the child will need further adult guidance.  With the proper guidance, this child can reach what ever goal he aims for.

I am convinced that he is really 60 years old and has that Benjamin Button thing where he gets younger instead of older.   Just kidding…  he is amazing.

Wow, that kid is good!  If anything this encourages me to practice.  However, when I see stuff like this it makes me think that he's probably been playing since he was like 2 or something and/or he's a prodigy.  The guy next to him looks like he could be his dad so its never really all that surprising when kids of musicians play really well.  While I'm not mad at the kid for being so good, I noticed that I don't think of adults or even teens the same way.  IMO, that's messed up.

Still, this kid reminds me of Willie, the drum prodigy from Youtube that was posted on this site a couple times.  His dad plays drums, and it's something Willie's interested in and enjoys doing.
