Afternoon service question

The question I have is: how many song are appropriate for a visiting choir to sing, after the home church has sung 3 songs and a solo????

1 or however many they ask for. After 3 songs and a solo, I would be ready to go home. Bump asking somebody else to do even more songs, lol.

Hello for a visiting church choir, I would say two songs not the home church choir if its a musical its ok but for the guest choir two songs

thanx for responding, this was a crazy service. it seems like every church that visits our church they feel like they need to do a concert before the messege. that isnt right. cause when we visit other churches we sing only 2 selections! now there have been times that the church has asked us to do the music for the entire service, which is fine. but we dont do so unless asked. so from now on we might just have the visiting choir do the music for the entire afternoon service and just do our selections during our morning services.

so from now on we might just have the visiting choir do the music for the entire afternoon service and just do our selections during our morning services.

Good idea. When we invite a church, we let them take care of EVERYTHING except for the welcome and closing remards. We just sit back and enjoy the service.

i have played "ride on king jesus" some years back and dont even remember how it went
and as far as "i give my self away" haven't really played that one.
