anyone?

Pocket playing is when you just keep it simple or plain. That means to leave all of the doubles and rolls out of a song and just play the regular beat with just bass, a few cymbals, hihat, and snare. Pocket playing is mostly found in jazz gigs,r&b, and some gospel. The only time you can basically come out of the pocket is when the MD tells you to or when the groove is set right. Aiight Holla!!!
