I was wondering which songs are sure things during your worship services. What I mean is, name those songs that you all do on a regular basis during your worship service.

My church will usually almost every sunday sing:
"When I Think About the Lord"
"You Are Good"  Israel
"I'll Fly Away" old hymn

Those are a few of the usuals

Because of who you are
Lord You Are Good
Lord of the Harvest
I don't know what you come to do
Jesus I love you
There is none like you/ There is a name

These are probably the ones you will hear atleast 2 sundays out of the month. But there are plenty more.

There is this one song that we sing almost every sunday at my chruch as the opening song. I am not sure who wrote it, but it goes...

The Presence/
Of The Lord/
Is here/
Here in the place/
I can feel/
The anointing/
and power/

Come in his presence/
With singing and praise/
Come in his courts/
with thanksgiving/
The presence of the Lord is here/
Here in the place

ANd MAAAAAAAN... that would lose ALL the chains from the people every sunday!!! God someone times can use the same thing to deliver!!

Can someone teach me how to play rise within us by Israel & new Breed. I think it was Maual keys that said they sing this song at church.  Also We lift our hands in the sanctuary.  If possible can you give me the right and left hands.

Zilpex,

I understand what you're asking, but the best advice that I can give you is this; the only sure thing is to be in the will of God.  I say that because when we rely on a list of songs that we think are a sure things has, at times, the potential to become a hinderance.  Make it your primary objective to seek the will of God for each worship experience.  You never know, He may lead you to play a song that you think isn't right, but it is for that setting.  That is the responsibility for all Christian musicians.  Let the Lord lead you.

Thanks, but I wasn't asking for advise in that respect. I just wanted to hear the different songs that are being used around the country and maybe implement them in our services to break up the monotony a little. What you said was neither here nor there, but it was well said...

Thanks anyway....

I see.  I hope that I didn't come across with in condemning tone.  In response though, I've used "Calling my name" ( Pstr Hez & LFCC) and a song called "Jesus Reigns" by Charles Martin.  He's a sax player, but the song can be nicely done on a keyboard or organ.
