A lot of out here aren't professionals and as a keyboardist, I know that I have only scratched the surface of sequecing with my Triton :? .  Is there any possibility for a sequencing forum to offer tips and get help :?:

I do a lot of sequencing have been for quite some time I used to use an alesis mmt8 then I got an ensoniq sq2 plus then a m-1 then I started using my pc and an alesis data disk then an yamaha sy77 then a korg o1w
now I mostly use my pc
for midi I use voyetra digital orchestrator plus and quick score elite

using midi and a seqencer prog is a quick way to set up arrangment ideas and then work them to audio recording.
the posibilities are endless with a sequencer as long as you have the sounds you need with the right quality.

most people won't know if its sequenced or played live if you do it right

Wow eggs...you have a Motif classic! No wonder you don't have a computer.

I have a Korg N1 synthesizer so I can't do sequencing on that. I use a really easy mixing software called Acoustic Labs Mixer. It records audio in realtime which I think is easier than using midi sequencers. I tried that at first and I couldn't learn to use any of those.  It records up to 8 audio tracks.  Works almost like one of those 4 track tape recorders only difference is the music is recorded to the hard drive instead of your pc. Then you can mix it all down to one track and save as a wave or mp3 file. Then I finally burn them on a disc and nobody knows the difference.  I think this is the easiest program you can ever use.

Me personally I would rather use fruityloops for all of my sequencing. I have fruityloops 5 on da laptop at da churchhouse. An since fruityloops is TOO easy, it don't take nuttin' but a second to program something. I usually just program a simple track while I'm waiting at da drums for the director to finsh teaching. IF YOU HAVEN"T TRIED FRUITYLOPPS, TRY IT.

Hey Guys I do alot of sequencing on my Fantom S, and I have a production studio so I use Cubase SX for all of my production.

Personally I love Fruityloops, it is a hott !!! program, the learning curve is really low so the average Joe can use it.  I would not use it in a production studio but for 8, 16 bar loops it is one of the best prgms.  Matter of fact for basic rythm tracks it is good also.  If any one is NY and wanna jam with a veteran Flutist hit me up, I also do session work.

If you like computers Cubase SX is the way to go.  I have a Fantom S88
I love it but it could never replace my computer. I like My Triton
Extreme 88 also but it  not a computer. Once you get used to the
computer it is really hard to beat it.  They are so cheap nowdays also.
I build my own.  It is not cheaper this way, but you get what
componants you want.
