Unbelievable!!! Wow... That dude is gifted. Has anyone ever seen him slap or pop?  I never see him do that. Im sure he can, but it must not be his strength or I should say what he likes to do.  All bass players know that we all have a strength except for Victor.  He does everything good.

Trust me, he's one of the best at slap/pop.  Check out New Direction "My Hands Go Up" and all Marette Brown-Clark stuff.  He does most of Chicago Mass's stuff too.  He is awesome at slap/pop.

I enjoyed it. I like how you can clearly hear the defined notes. I'm going to study this when I get home. :)

Sharay has a groove like no other.  I've never heard him do a lot of slap.  Not to contradict
tewest86, but I'm pretty sure the new direction track he's referring to was actually played by Maurice Fitzgerald.  That cd had three bass players tracking on it.  I'll double check the jacket when I get home.  I'm sure he can slap incredible, I just know his background is jazz.  If you want some serious slap players that you can actually find a lot of cd's to listen too, check out Andrew Gouche and Reggie Young.
