Yeah you can most definitely tell.

Seems like musicians who are trainded in classical and jazz bring a different flavor when it comes to chords and improvisation.  To me getting some training in other generes can definitely open up a person's playing

It feels awkward not hearing any sound from the audience until the end of the song =\

Maybe they were quiet the whole time.

White people know how to behave when a musician is ministering.

There's a clip of Jimmy Smith playing with his Trio in Europe, and when he's done he gives the audience a strange look as they give a very week applause after he just killed it.
