Mapex Steel Piccolo snare Would you buy it?

I think this on sale only today at guitar center here in the USA.

so would you buy it? I'm thinking just to have it on the set in case some little kid shows up wanting to play I won't cry if it gets hurt

That drum will be extremely loud because
  • it is only 3"-4" deep
  • made of steel

If the lugs are good and allow accurate tensioning then it could be a good purchase. Take a drum key with you and try to tune it. if it tunes easy with stock heads then buy it.

if it were the 90s this would be a great deal! but do not get a piccolo snare you will be the object of ridicule in your local area  ;D jk get whatever sounds good to you.
