I think the best way for me to approach this is to play one octave at a time. I'll work my way up to 250 bpm...::) using one octave, then 250 bpm with the second octave then 250 bpm together!
That's how i have it plan in my head! now i have to get my fingers to go along with the plan LOL!!

Hey, Arthur59, you put us to work this time.  I can play that run at 50 beats per very easily.  250, man I don't know.  My fingers might not do that, but I am taking it as a challenge.  I'll let you know how I came out.  Quick three note runs are somewhat a problem for me.  For example, I have trouble playing runs such as the "I'll take you there" bass run.(Staple Singers) I have to skip a note.  (or "Honky Tonk" by James Brown)

150 beats per minute is not too bad, but 250 is still gonna be a reach.  I'm after it, Arthur59.

200bpm for 8 reps then I start to mess up around the 9th or 10th rep. I'll keep it here for awhile until I really get it under my fingers.

Hey guys keep up the good work. I'll try to have the next lesson up Friday evening. The next lesson will be on first inversion: 3-5-7-1 starting at the 7th fret on your "B" string.
