someone please tell me what is a dim6? i keep seeing that and no one can tell me what it is.Help!

looks like a diminished 6 chord????????But that chord really makes no sense because a full dimished chord will include the sixth scale degree.  Anyone else care to take a shot at it????

A diminished 6 chord is a Diminished 7th chord.

The numbers for the Diminished chord are:

1 3 5 bb7
* bb7 = double flat 7th

The bb7 is the same as the sixth (6th) degree of the scale so thats how people come up with the diminished 6th but it is really a diminished 7th

I was wondering the same thing, but I guessed that It was a dim7 chord because it didnt really make sense.

Cool I can feel that....dim7...is the same as dim6..
