Is it important to invest in a pedal board
« on: May 01, 2013, 04:05:32 PM »
Hi guys. I just had this one question to ask: Is it important to invest in a pedalboard even if you just have one pedal, but your planning to get more pedals sooner? Anyway, I have a total of $155.00 to spend to get a pedal board. Here are my options for it is out of these three pedal boards.

Behringer PB1000 Powered Pedalboard $129.99

Road Runner Pedalboard with Bag and Visual Sound 1 Spot Combo Pack $74.98

Musician's Gear Powered Pedalboard and Gig Bag $79.99

Note: Now the thing is I actually had the Musician's Gear Powered Pedalboard and Gig Bag but the thing is that actually that Ive had it for a while the part where you grip the strap that holds the whole thing together when carrying it had got torn. So that is something to pay attention to when making a decision when getting a pedalboard.

Honestly... no.  If I were you I would just keep saving money.  Do you know what kind of pedals you want?  Search "pedal board" on bing.  Then click "images".  You'll get a good idea of how other people are setting up their boards.  Once you start getting a few pedals then get a board that will fit your needs/ desires.  Otherwise you could end up with a 6ft board with just a wah and an overdrive pedal.

Once you start w/ a pedalboard, it will never end...

I don't think it's that important, but if you need a lot of sounds at your disposal (distortion chorus...) it might be easier to have a pedalboard.
I have loads of pedals, but I plan to buy a pedalboard to have an easy solution to travel, and not having to carry all my pedals and taking the risk to loose one of my pedal!!!
