Roll-On vs Body Spray Deodorant
« on: June 04, 2013, 09:45:04 AM »
Which do you guys prefer? I am a body spray guy. I love the fact that body spray can act as both a cologne and a deodorant.

So, which does it for you? Body spray or roll-ons?

Lord, please don't let this die at the bottom of the page... :-\

How about a solid?

Do you mean the solid gels? I don't really like them. They tend to leave a residue in my 'pits and shirt.

I use Arm&Hammer natural deodorant currently. Other than that I use antiperspirants. Deodorants like Speed Stick irritate my underarms. They get raw if I use it too long and also makes dead skin. :D Plus it doesnt complete wash out with soap. I have used the spray antiperspirants that arent body spray. I dont really like body sprays/washes because later on in the day you stink with this sweet smell. Its like the person chewing wrigleys and there is this mixture of mint and stank. lol  :D I prefer to have a deodorant that is not as strong and use cologne/lotion/oil for scent.

I hate roll ons. I hate the wet underarm feel. Never tried spray deodorant.

Solids. All day, er'day.

LOL, man, I think he means solid solids. You know... It's white and kind of feels like a soft bar of soap? Solid.

Hate those with a passion. The Arm and Hammer type stuff always leaves a white residue that feels sticky and gross.

Its deodorant body sprays for me all the way.

If you are feeling slimy and sticky you put too much on. It doesn't take a lot of deodorant to last all day.

Uhm, I don't know about A&H but Arrid doesn't do that to me at. all.

Also, I don't like aerosols so body sprays wouldn't appeal to me.

Same thing with a solid.

The A&H I use is more like the gel. I have used the solid also. Aerosols also affect your lungs. I have tired some of the natural aluminum free deodorants also but they also messed with my skin.

For the record, body spray is NOT deodorant.  There's aerosol deodorant... and there's body spray... body spray is more of an all over spray that keeps you smelling nice, but I doubt it holds anyone all day in the underarm area.  I'm sure Fen meant aerosol deodorant... but then... he said it acts as cologne, so...  :(

I actually meant the 2 in1 type stuff that Axe has. It's labeled body spray/ anti perspirant.

I suppose I will give gels a try again. I just don't like that stickiness.

Maybe he thought he would get the same results as the Axe commercial.  :)

No roll ons    no sprays

Just regular Speed Stick type deodorant.  No anti-perspirants.  I feel the Lord gave us them sweat glands for a reason.  It has to be deordorant for me.

MAAAN... I don't care what it says on the can. Axe is NOT deoderant. There's a a guy at one of our offices that bathes in that stuff. You always know when it's around, walking around smelling like a bag of handsome onions.
