Was up fellas and ladies.  Tell me what your definition of pocket is. I have an idea what iit is. I just want to hear what ya'll have to say.

In the pocket is not trying to sound like the Drum is the Lead instrument, knowing when to add a lil some some, and when not too. It is being the backbone of the music, keeping a steady beat simple and tight.  Having the ability to play with expression soft when needed and down right loud during the praise breaks.

A very clean pocket...

I also think its keeping everything clean and neat so that it fits in with the rest of the band.  Keeping everything steady with speed and timing.  Pocket is whatever u want it to be
