So, I got the amp...

The other day my local music store puts up a post on Facebook, advertising their eBay page and all the stuff for sale on it.
So, I click the link and check out what's what, and what do I see?
A Fender Excelsior Pro amp...the amp I have been looking at for over a year, but couldn't afford right now...for sale for $225. That's $174 off of the regular price! 
And wouldn't you know that I just sold my Vox AC15VR amp last week for $235. 

So, while my daughter was taking her violin lesson today, I asked about the amp and the dude said, "yep, $225".
I said, "it's mine".

It sounds AMAZING!!

Congrats! See what happens when we wait. I started to get that Casio WK 7500 round black Friday and did not. I could have gotten it new for under $300. Good deals always comes to those who wait.

And I haven't tried a brown one, but from all I've read the opinion is that the Eminence speaker in the Pro model makes a huge difference in not only the tone but the volume output as there's about 7db additional peak output with the upgraded speaker. I've also heard that the tubes in the Pro might be of a higher quality, but I can't confirm that.
Regardless, it's a great amp stock and very open to modifying, so I'll be looking into that more in the future.

I've got a gig out tonight and I'm excited to see how the amp does!

In short, the amp sounded amazing and is WAY louder than I expected it to be.

I did a country session in the studio on Sunday and used the Excelsior for that and everyone was very impressed with the little green monster. It sounded great clean and then we just turned up the volume a little to get a bit more edge and it was sweet sounding.
It's a keeper. 

Oh, and I did match that other riff and used my glass slide to hit some really high notes.
