Greatest Gospel Drumming Songs
« on: January 04, 2015, 09:48:57 PM »
First of all,

I first registered on this site back in 2006, I fell off the map and had to make a new account....brings back memories lol. A large portion of what I know now about drums came from the helpfulness of this site...so thank you to SabianKnight, jUse, and many others who commented on my posts back then.

Does anyone have a playlist of gospel music

Sorry, must have hit enter too fast lol

Does anyone have a playlist or suggestions of great gospel music that had the best drumming on it, new or old? Songs with beastly solos or just a tight pocket.
(Example: Calvin Rodgers on John P. Kee's "Rain on Us")

There are too many songs to list, I can only give you albums or even artist to listen to. So I'd check out:
Ricky Dillard and New G "Worked It Out", "No Limit", "Unplugged", and "The 7th Episode", calvin rodgers, rex hardy, and brent easton played on those albums

James Hall and WAP "King of Glory" Jeff davis and Eddie Heyward played on the album

Hezekiah Walker, I would say any album from the late 80s to 90s was a good album Jeff Davis, Gerald Heyward, Jason Hendrickson, and Jeff Lesley played on his albums. Jeff Lesley is his current drummer now i believe.

St. Paul of Praise, "I'm Not The Same" (I think that's the name of the album) Gerald and Jeff davis played on this album.

This is just a few albums that's really influenced me. Take them in!
