Basic Organ Technique
« on: August 04, 2015, 07:37:58 PM »
Hey guys,

I've been playing the Piano for abt 7 years. But I've always wanted to learn the Organ
(Hammond B3/ electronic type) just in case I might ever be asked to play. I don't have one that I can access but I would like to know how do you voice chords & transcribe Hymnal music. Nothing fancy but just basic stuff.

I've already researched how to use the Leslie, Drawbars and Footpedals. But haven't had any luck with finding how to voice chords.

Also would I be able to just sit at an organ and just start playing without ANY prior practice if I'm ever asked to play for events?

Thank you & God bless.

BTW: I'm new to the forum & this is my first post, so Hi.  :D
