Y is it so hard to play gospel music
« on: March 24, 2005, 06:56:46 AM »
To me gospel is more difficult to play then jazz and r&b. What is the catch to learning gospel music in general.

...GOSPEL MUSIC IS JAZZ R&B AND BLUES ALL MIXED TOGETHER!....BLACK GOSPEL ANYWAY.....IT IS NO LONGER AS BASIC AS IT WAS UNLESS YOU STICK TO THE BASICS OF TRADITIONAL....THE CONTEMORARY STYLE IS WRITTEN BY YOUNGER PEOPLE THAT HAVE LEARNED NEW AND MORE COMPLEX THINGS....JAZZ IS MORE COMPLEX TODAY THAN IS WAS... R&B ISNT ABOUT THE MUSIC ANYMORE...AND BLUE IS BLUES IS BLUES.....

JUST TAK YOUR TIME WITH IT AND LEARN!  YOU WILL BE FINE IF YOU DONT GIVE UP!

....every riff I posted is a pattern....look at them...listen to the music in your church or on gospel records and cd's....fid the riffs in the music...see how they work...then work them in your own way...patterns are just combinations of notes...
