s/bass room/message board

Not sure I know what that means.

I have been banging my head against the wall trying to come up with ideas to get the bass room going.  Tried a couple things but the response was <crickets> so I've kinda backburnered those.

A few ideas I have not tossed out yet would be....

  • album review - take a look at new material being released and discuss the bass approach
  • what songs are in hard rotation at your church?
  • what songs do you need help with?  Those come up from time to time, but fact of the matter is, they are usually from people who have single digit post numbers and disappear even if they're requests are filled

Certainly open to other suggestions.

Not sure that I have a lot to offer because I was following arthur59 I think your are a great teacher and wish you would start up again. I have mentioned before if I could pay to be one of your students I would. malthumb I still watch your videos wish you would do more. The most common denominator I run into when talking with people is I'm to busy, don't have time. I can't even get together with musicians here where I live because of this reason. I remember when I found this site I thought it was the best thing since slice bread. I would love to see this resurrected again.

Not sure I know what that means.
It's a programming code that means "switch the first object with the second object" basically, I was saying that the lgm message board as a whole is pretty dead, not only the bass room.

Hey "Bass4God" my video recorder is out of commission so i can't help you with this song at this time. Maybe someone else will step up ane help you out.

I'm still trying to come up with something that will be beneficial to all of us (bass players) not just the beginners.

I understand I'm just trying to get the progressions of the song. I'm just glad to know that you are back and still willing to share your knowledge.

Hey arthur59 while we're at it I do need help with I am God by Donald Lawrence I need to get that under my fingers for a program that's coming up.

Thanks in Advance

Just noticed this request for help.  Here's how I am hearing the progressions.  Feels like a lot of 4th movements.  I may try to record some video this weekend.

I am God (Gb-Gb-Gb)
All by myself (Db-Db-Db)
I don't need (Eb-Eb-Eb)
Any help(Db-Db-Db)
I can han (Bb-Bb-Bb) dle this (Eb-Eb-Eb)
On my own (Ab-Ab-Ab---Db)

I am the first (Db-Db-Db)
And the last (Gb-Gb-Gb)
Whatever you need (B-B-B)
Just ask (E-E-E)
For I am (Ab-Ab-Ab)
I am (Db-Db-Db)
I am God (Gb)

I was there (Ab-Ab-Ab) in (Db-Db-Db)
The beginning (Gb)
And I'll be there (Bb-Bb-Bb)
When you get (Eb-Eb-Eb)
To the end (Ab-Ab-Ab---Db)

I'm all seeing (Db-Db-Db)
All knowing (Gb-Gb-Gb)
Almighty (B-B-B)
<something I can't understand>(E-E-E)
I am (Ab-Ab-Ab)
I am (Db-Db-Db)
I am God (Gb)

Those progressions keep repeating.  When they keep building on the "I am"s, the line extends to something like this

I'm all seeing (Db-Db-Db)
All knowing (Gb-Gb-Gb)
Almighty (B-B-B)
<something I can't understand>(E-E-E)
I am (Ab-Ab-Ab)
I am (Db-Db-Db-B)
I am (Bb-Bb-Bb)
I am (Eb-F-Gb-G)
I am (Ab-Ab-Ab)
I am (Db-Db-Db-B)
I am (Bb-Bb-Bb)
I am (Eb-F-Gb-G)
I am (Ab-Ab-Ab)
I am (Db-Db-Db)
I am God (Gb)

Hope that helps.

integrate with instangram, facebook, twitter ...

basically the person shouldn't realize they are on a different website

use tapatalk or something similar most people use their cellphone using this website may not be easy to use on a phone

utilize google voice to provide voice transcirption so a person using their phone can just talk and the post can be written

have a youtube channel (vine, IG, snapchat) were we post information

Hire a teacher to breakdown popular songs and ONLY post them here ... essentially every week take the number 1 gospel song according to billboard charts. Break down the song and post a video but force all comments to come here.
