Lilman, you can break the cycle. Some people on LGM follow the same cycle all the time (not just you).
Things are cool
Somebody says something smart
You get mad
You respond to the person who said something smart
Drama ensues
You want to leave or whatever
If this cycle keeps repeating, it's not good for you, or for your relationships on the site. You can break the cycle by taking out one of the links that keeps the cycle repeating itself. Looking at the six links I listed The only ones you can really do something about are where you get mad or where you respond.
You have no control over what other people say whether good or bad, whether they should or shouldn't have said it. But you do have control over whether or not you get upset, and you definitely have control over whether you respond and how you respond to what was said.
A lot of people have given you some good ideas for dealing with these situations, I just wanted to see if I could share with you from what I've learned in this area.
