First of all iwould like to thank u for taking the time to talk to us it really means a lot. My question is : how do u take what u practice and apply it to alive situation? Because I come up with some crazy ideas when no one is around but when I get around people (especially other drummers) it seems like I cant think of anything.

Whas'up tKo, well to be blunt with you,(if i can :?) the reason you can't be creative is, your to busy thinking of what everyone else think's of what ur doing. Once and for all. To all the drummers that struggle with this hear me and hear me good! :x  "  "WHO CARES WHAT THEY THINK!!!!!" the only person you need to please with ur music is GOD!. I just returned this same type of  :?: / e-mail last night to a young cat that's struggling with the same fear 8O, and i told him to "Get Over It!" people will always have somthing to say about ur playing. Noy to long ago their were a couple of young and immature drummers in the gospel drummer industry that you'all worship and slobber over had gone around telling other young drummers that "Jeremy anit got it no more he needs to hang it up and just retire!" do you believe that  :? listen just because every record i do im not doing a bunch of crap(*%$#)all over the record does not mean i cant play, what it means is that im working for someone else at that time,  "IT'S NOT MY RECORD!!". And do you think i let that stop me? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! if anything it made me realize that i was playing the right stuff, because when the records win Grammy, Stellar, and Dove awards, and when the albums go double and tripple platinum all over the world. And when cat's from Nigeria, London, Japan, Paris, and all over this world send me emails stating that the gift GOD! has given me has touched their lives, just through the way i approach a song, the tunning of my drums, and my finesse really inspires them to really dig into their instrument. And even all the love i've been getting from u guys on this forum, makes all the "HATERS" in the drum world talk about me even more so it's cool8). Even Jesus had Judas and look what happened to him. So let'em talk yo! It just means that their thinking about cha.  :D    "Rhythm Is Life Yo!"

Yo! What'up TightestGroove? Well the footage you saw was from a different session that he was invited to be apart of. The record is the "Gospel Haritage" album that we did in 2002,  thats why when you see it, the set looks different, and he's wearing a suit, and all the other things are different also. They shot it at New Birth. But it was cool, and  he was real cool, 8)  "NO EGO TRIP AT ALL!!!!!!!!" The album is "HOT" "Sput Seawright Yo! MY MAN!!!!!!!  Smooth Cat 8)  For Real!

Yo what up J this is Spider from (www.gospelchops.com). I talked to my boyee Gerald today and he is so excited it's a blessing to see the vision GOD gave him and how it's evolving into str8 MINISTRY----shout out to learngospelmusic.com as well ya'll doing the thang. I hope you 2 hit it off really well Saturday and you better not hold back neither (LOL). Anyways, man we gotta hook up yo for realz. Most of these are just now getting hip to you cuz of the major recordings you been doing but trust I got some underground jointz (Christopher Gray and NC MASS---He's All That (1994) you blazed all catz reading this need to pick that up. Then I was @ GMWA in LA when you smashed I COUNT IT THE COST (SMILE)...o yeah I am pulling them out. Dawg I was @ a workshop u blazed on in 91 out in Raleigh if I am not mistaken I couldn't remember the church name but it was off the chain. U were hittin the song @ the time was V. Michael McKay's "Come on In the Garden" (LOL). Holla @ me (spider@my2way.com) that's the 2way or home (rocketshells97@yahoo.com). I emulate your setup, style, I hate double bass pedal although I own one (bought it as a deal) and man try to blaze hard and punchy like you do. As soon as I hear that "pop beefy snare drum" and the kick drum as if you are using the PROMARK wood beater I know who is on the wood-n-skins! All you readers know what I'm talking about. Man the Marvin Sapp is just clowning for realz. WHEW and the Gospel Heritage you, Kev, Mike and Darrell ripped I guess ya'll had to show all the naysayers out there that "F.L.O.W can come out the woodshed and remind everyone who the band of life is." Man when I hit with Mike @ the Lady Judy McCallister concert out here in Oakland he was letting my boyee Tony Jones II and I hear the unedited version of "Lift The Saviour Up." When Kevin pulled off that crazy chord exchange on the vamp I was just throwin' up all over the place (LOL). Tonex's "Too Know You Lord" was sweet & jazzy too--that buzz shufled 16th note you do coming off the ride cymbal melodic roll was nice. For all you readers just trying to show you that musicians need to know a fellow musicians credits and credentials. Study who is hittin on what, the mobile company and live recording engineers all of that. I just read CD credits all day I know I ain't the only 1! (LOL) holla back anyone and everyone just choppin' it up with my SAVED family ya heard.

spider79, i am with you, Jeremy was blazin even before the Christopher Gray, and might I add Greg Hoover. ( J, you remember that ) He was slammin wiht Shirley. One thing 4 sure, he has been rockin before now, and he will continue. It does not matter who comes along with the bag of tricks, trust and believe he has them as well. However he is one drummer that has been here, and will continue to be here.

thankx fo rthe shout out j_kay and kaddw. Man speaking of which that Greg Hoover 1st albumn was str8 bananas. WHEW thankx for the reminder I have to find that albumn put it back in the repotoire. I don't know about ya'll but I was watching MEGAFEST live this afternoon on TBN and my GOD the anointing must have showed up on my couch in the living room. WHEW Bishop Jakes spoke some prophecy today--"GOD'S GOING TO TURN IT AROUND IN THE MIDST OF YOUR ADVERSARIES". Just wanted to share that with everyone. A.L. Jinwright was a hot albumn Jeremy was blazin on. I was listening to Rodnie Bryant--the joint called "Great Things" written by Darius Brooks originally recorded by the late Rev. Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Choir (Before they were the TOMMIES). Oh yeah most defnitely a F.L.O.W dvd or live performance ain't bad. There are some starving LEVITES waiting to see that and I am one of them. Stay up and blessed every1

Jeremy, I finally got the chance to purchase the latest Marvin Sapp CD, "Be Exalted" on yesterday.  All I can say is that God has placed a tremendous gift into your life.  I am glad that you are able to impart that gift to bless me and others!

I love the first track (blazin') and the title track (puts you in His presence - you also "smashed" that fill).  I didn't get to listen to the entire CD, but the few tracks that I did get to listen to is on point!

 YO! YO! Ksmithburner5 It's always a pleasure to play with "great" bass players such as Reese, Joel, and T. Palmer but my favorite player right now is D"FREE!"(Darrell Freeman) he's scary yo!8O but the most important thing about playing with Darrell is having a "RELATIONSHIP!" with each other outside of music, and that's what makes playing together "FUN!" :o because when you spend time with cats on a personal level,  you begin to play the language you speak cause you know them beyond the music. So i admonish AAAAAAAALL musicians to develope relationships with cats that you work with, even cats that dont live in the same city, reguardless the language is still the same. So that when your playing with the Pro's you fit right in, and then they respect you and what you have to say, when you sit down and play. So it's always FUN! :D But it's more valuble when you can call them "Friend"

J_Kay! my man. Thanx Bro. I appreciate your kind words. But I'm learning now that ministering through drums can be a powerful way of deliverence as well.A couple of weeks ago I recieved an e-mail from a fellow levite stating and (i quote) "That when I listens to you play the "spirit of depression" :evil  leaves my mind and heart, and I feel like living again!" "THAT'S POWERFUL!" so i'm obligated to remain consistant with my ministry, and not clutter the music with a bunch of "crap" that is distracting to the F.L.O.W. of GOD! and what HE! wants to DO! as HE! plays through me. So that's why it sounds anointed and not just another good sounding record. My hat goes off to Bro. Isreal Houghton, and Aaron Lindsey for the "GREAT!" job they did producing their share of the record it was "My Pleasure" to do it with them. And I pray that GOD! is pleased with my interpretation of how grateful i am that he has chosen me to walk along and beside him through the gift and the anointing of playing drums and please believe "I AM GREATEFUL LORD JESUS, AND I DO NOT TAKE IT LIGHTLY!" ALL GLORY AND HONOR BELONGS TO GOD!"  :D "Rhythm Is Life Yo!"
