Quartz AudioMaster (Midi/Audio Sequencer)

Anvil Studio (Midi Sequencer)

Pro Tools 5.0.1 (Requires a Mac)

Weird Metronome (Metronome Software)

With the exception of the free Pro Tools, these may not be as great as some of the new programs out there, but they're free, and should get anyone that wants to do some recording started.
