ok my church just ordered the motif 6 and it'll be here in a few days..can anyone give me a crash course in using it...i now it has different organ sounds and paino sounds....
i guess what i want to know it how does one switch up sounds?
if i want piano with strings how do i set it up?
i hope this doesnt sound dumb i just want to know a lil somthin before i get the actual keyboard...
we got it online and now that its on the way, i just wanna know a lil somthin before it gets here..

Try going to http://www.motifator.com/ or searching the Yahoo site for the motif's manual. I'm sure you can find it online. That'll help you out the best, until you get it.

Don't be discouraged.  There's a learning curve with Motif.  The more familiar you are with other workstations, the easier it will be for you.

Basically, you have four modes of operation.... Master, Performance, Voice and Pattern.  Voice mode is where you will want to start, because you can experiment with the various voices without knowing too much about how the whole board works.

As B3 said, check out www.motifator.com, where you can read/post to a huge knowledge base, and get advice from some great people.

Oh yes... there's one more mode called Song mode as well.

Lorenzo,

There are clearly labled buttons for each mode.  You will have to read the manual and ask questions on the site to really get good at things like voice editing, layering, looping, sequencing etc... etc.  

But you can use all these things in worship.
