hey ya'll. i recently acquired a brand new 18" zildjian z. cuxtom crash. i play a lil' bit of everything and i really like the sound of it. it is really loud but still has a nice feel to it. i also noticed that it is supposedly only intended to be used for rock. i even looked it up on the site and nearly all the drummer s using them are punk rock. also, i also am using a signature steve gadd k. custom session ride which is an 18." almost all the drummers i have even mentioned it too have been like "well, that is too small to get any good sound out of it or that it doesn't have enough diamteter to cut through and be heard. i think that people need to stop dwelling on the series or the size or the so called"intended purpose" and just have fun and explore. what do you guys think and do any of you guys out there use a cymbal for another stly of music than it what intended for?
