SETTINGS FOR PA SYSTEM AND KEYBOARD AMP
« on: June 07, 2005, 04:56:49 PM »
Hello, All!
Just wanted to know what you guys have your PA sytem settings on?

Bass
High
Midi
EFX
There is another setting on the PA system besides the volume button but at this point I cannot remember what it is but if any of you know what I'm talking about please list it with the settings.  Thank you!

And also wanted to know how you setup your keyboard amp:

Bass
High

And when you plug into the amp along with the PA system do you just use the regular in/out switch or do you plug into the EFX or special effects.

Please advise and thanks in advance for your input!

Evangelist Pitts

P.S.  I want to get the most out of my system:  I like clarity and a heavy bass but I don't want the sound distorted.  Actually, I want to get as close to a good studio sound as I can get with the system and amp that I'm using.  By the way, I have a Korg Triton Le.

Well I don't use an amp on my keyboard at my home church. B/c  I have my keyboard mixed into my monitor mix. But If I do use an amp I don't take it through the system. And the settings and eq of your keyboard should really be set according to the parameter of the keyborad and the amp you are useing. So I really can't tell you the exact settings I have on my amp b/c it might not sound the same on your amp. But what I suggest is just play around with it I day before or after your service until you and the sound team find a setting that sounds good.

The amp that I have for my keyboard is also a monitor.  So I plug my keyboard into the pa sytem and into my amp/monitor.  So I am able to hear myself when playing with other musicians.

I'm talking about in my monitor mix with the sound system. I have the sound team "CUSTOMIZE" what I want to hear through my speaker next to where I play.
